I am not posting this to complain about slow exp gains although you do get spoiled to the 50% bonus that used to come from warchests or stimpacks. But does noone find it odd that in the 5 year blizzard supported lifespan of coop that they through out exp bonus events or opportunities like candy and just when they drop the biggest update of coops lifespan they pull the plug on not only paid content but balancing and completely halted any and all opportunities for bonus exp when they basically just gave us 54 new commanders to level. But for 5 years we only had to level 18 commanders once and we had events and stimpacks fairly frequently. Maybe because they pulled the plug they wanted to prolong the grind as much as possible to retain numbers for future quarterly reports. I don't know, it just seemed... really strange.

Everytime I boot up my psp with the sd card in it I will hear and see boot up for a slight second and then it turns off. Without the sd card it works like regular. The same thing happens with games I boot up one and then the psp turns off.

I've been cooking for... idk. 2 decades now. Little longer. I'm by no means an expert in anything, just have a lot of experience.
The one thing I have never been able to get right is Hard Boiling eggs.
Never. The shells stick to the egg. The yolk is under cooked. A combo of the two. Or just something else that goes wrong and ruins them altogether.
Can someone please, please, give me tips and suggestions for making hard boiled eggs. I'm at my wits end.

2021.09.19 19:34 Darthelmet1 Help. I somehow got to 3k and still don't feel like I know what I'm doing.
I've been playing the game for a few weeks now every since a battlegrounds friend introduced me to it. I Had a lot of fun/success early on in bot matches and early laddering and I've somehow managed to wander my way up the ranks to the 3k mark. But honestly all through that climb and especially now games feel really confusingly hard. Like I'm constantly being bullied to death in the early and midgame by players who somehow managed to get absurdly stronger boards than me. A lot of games I start with like a ~20 deficit before I even get a chance to find some good stuff to stabilize and sometimes I just never seem to find anything worth going in on before I'm killed. I barely even understand how my opponents are managing to get so far ahead of me and given this bottleneck I have no idea how my rank has gone up to this point, although it has definitely stalled out now that I'm here.
Any advice from players who feel like they've figured out the parts of the game I'm struggling with?

Idk what I was thinking when putting this team together, didn't really give it too much thought. I guess it ended up being bulky offense? Nidoking and Dragapult aren't bulky at all, though...
Corviknight is supposed to be my defogger as well as a bulky switch in, but I rarely ever end up defogging. I just don't think it's worth the hassle, and I don't have any mons weak to stealth rock anyway. He just ends up u-turning to someone who can do damage.
Lando is my lead, and he's pretty good at annoying the enemy team with his typing, bulk, and great ability. He OHKOs Heatran, which is fun, and u-turn is good at gaining momentum. I gave him stealth rock, but I rarely ever set them up, with how trivial they are to wipe off the field and the existence of boots that make them worthless. I might end up switching him to a scarfed or assault vest set to mess around with.
Dragapult is my special attacking nuke, and he's great at that. He's pretty frail, but it's not like that matters much, given his massive speed stat. I might consider trying a mixed or physical attacking set, but I might not, I like nuking things with draco meteor a lot.
Urshifu is meh. He's my physical attacker, supposed to kill special walls and win games. He does his job well, but I don't have any special connection to him. I guess he's fine the way he is.
Slowbro is also meh. He's bulky, but I don't quite know how to use him effectively? I end up just using him to tank hits and get mons in safely with teleport. I try to use future sight, but I don't really know when would be the best time to click it. He's fine the way he is I think, but I don't know if he really fits my team.
Nidoking is a cool mon, and part of the reason for me coming back to competitive. When I heard he was viable in OU this gen, I wanted to try him out in a team and see how well he worked. Sadly, I don't think he really pulls his weight. He pumps out a lot of damage, and is my answer to fairy types, but he's just too slow and doesn't have enough bulk. He's also really hard to get on the field, at lest in my experience. I'm not very experienced in this gen, and I don't remember much from gen 6, so maybe there's some start I could use to make him pull his weight more but idk.
I don't really have a win condition, or at least I didn't build the team around one. I guess my win condition would be clearing the way for Dragapult and Urshifu? idk.
Also, what do you even do against Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele and Volcarona? For the Tapu's, I try to get Nidoking on the field but he just gets outsped and OHKO'd before I can use Sludge Wave. As for Volcarona, I don't think I have anything that can really threaten it. I guess Urshifu could deal with that, but if Volcarona sets up too much or Urshifu's dead I just end up taking the L.
So yeah. That's my team. Is it any good? Are there any strats you recommend for me to take into account when I play?

2021.09.19 19:34 sketchy_ppl Automatically select "Open" from Camera Raw when using Automate > Batch processing RAW files in Photoshop?
I have an automation set up in Photoshop to edit and resize a group of photos. It's a night sky timelapse and I have a couple hundred individual exposures (about 250 frames).
When I run Automate > Batch it works flawlessly when I'm going from JPEG to JPEG. But when I open any RAW file in Photoshop (whether it's during a Batch, or just normally) I have the Camera Raw popup within Photoshop asking me how I want to open the file. When I run the automation, this popup happens with each individual image.
Is there any way of removing that popup so I don't need to hit "Open" every time for each 250 frames? Or telling Photoshop to automatically just choose "Open" every time?
Someone from askphotography recommended I try using Bridge, but that hasn't helped. I tried using the "Override Action Open Commands" option but then I get an error "The command “Image Size” is not currently available." (image resizing is part of the automation). This error only happens when I have the override enabled. I tried doing this both directly through Photoshop, and through Bridge.

2021.09.19 19:34 worriedbill Why League of Legends should look to an almost dead 5 year old game for inspiration on game balance.
When League was released, it had a roster of around 35 champions. Because it had so few champions, many were designed with two abilities scaling with AD, and two abilities scaling with AP, with the idea that this would allow each champion to have two major playstyles, with one being an ADC/bruiser and the other being more of a mage (granted the term "bruiser" hadn't been officially coined by Riot, but you get my point). This made each champion very versatile since their kits had to appeal to both of those playstyles. As we know, as time goes on, and new champions get created, champions start becoming less and less versatile and start becoming more specialized in one specific field. Nowadays, a champion is almost always designed with a specific role in mind with every ability of their kit complementing that role, usually without complementing other roles. What we see is a pattern of narrowing in on a specific purpose.
Crowd control is, and has always been, a versatile tool for champions to use in their team composition. Every mage will have at least one form of crowd control if not multiple and we see CC very often in the support, top lane, and jungle roles. We even see plenty of examples of CC in the Adc role (Jhin, Caitlyn, Draven, Ashe, Varus). CC, as it currently is, is a very useful tool because it can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes, either making your target unable to fight back to kill them, or locking enemies in place to make a quick get away, but because of its versatility, crowd control can be problematic.
If a mage gets an advantage over an assassin, and starts building a lead, CC can be used by that mage to further enhance that lead over the assassin, for a single form of CC is usually enough to kill an assassin (especially if you are a fed mage). Alternatively, even if the assassin plays very safe and waits for a gank from their jungler, that same CC can lock down that jungler, allowing the fed mage to get away. What i am suggesting is specific forms of CC that narrows down on its purpose specifically in much the same way we have seen other aspects of League of Legends narrow down, and for this I think Riot can take inspiration from Battlerite.
Battlerite is admittedly a dying game, but it is a diamond in the rough for several reasons and has an extremely loyal player base. One of the reasons this game was so popular among its fans is the way Stunlock Studios handles crowd control effects. Sure we have the basic slows, snares, stuns, even knockups, but Stunlock also utilizes CC is a way that is just barley touched on in League. For example, League has "fear", a form of CC that causes the target to run directly away from the caster, but at a reduced movement speed. Granted it is not EXACTLY the same as a stun, its result isn't much different. The afflicted target is unable to auto attack, cast abilities, or even change direction. This is used in much the same way that a stun would be used as well, either to lock a target down to kill them, or to buy the caster time to escape. Battlerite on the other hand has "Panic". Panic is essentially the same as a Fear from League, but with the caveat of increasing the targets movespeed instead of decreasing it (i think its like a 30% increase in movespeed). Because of the increase in movespeed, this limits the ability to defensive uses only since the target will actually outrun the caster should they attempt to run them down during the panic duration. Panic also has a "damage-gate" built in, which is an effect that cancels the CC early should the target take a certain amount of damage. Petrify is also in Battlerite, which stuns the target but also gives them a shield. The target is stunned for a set amount of time or until the shield depletes.
I think CC treated in this way is a unique aspect that is not touched on in League and would be a great way to set new champions apart from older ones without automatically making them overpowered
